Alexander McMeeking MDPC has been treating HIV and infectious diseases for over 20 years. He graduated from New Jersey College of Medicine in 1982 and completed his residency at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt’s Hospital Center in Manhattan in 1985. Following this, he did Fellowship Training in Infectious Diseases at NYU Medical Center/Belleview Hospital from 1985-1987.
Now, Dr. McMeeking owns his own private practice. He is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at NYU school of Medicine and an Attending Physician at NYU Medical Center. He works from his own office as well as consulting with other physicians for patients with complicated cases.
While he treats all infectious diseases, Dr. McMeeking specializes in HIV, Viral Hepatitis, Herpes, and MRSA. He also does clinical research in new therapies for HIV and Hepatitis C. Because he is involved in cutting edge research, his patients can expect state of the art treatments.
Unlike many doctors, Dr. McMeeking is able to quickly schedule appointments. The wait is rarely longer than three days for any patient, and he tries to accommodate emergency patients on the same day.
